In this talk, I will discuss research that pertains to computational models of human behavior and how they can be put to use towards augmenting the cognitive capabilities of human intelligence. These will be discussed in the context of three related strands of research that delve into a) automated modeling of influence in a virtual dialogue agent; b) automated modeling of cultural norms using metaphorical data; c) future work aimed at computational modeling of human activity during highly interactive and cognitively complex tasks.

Refreshments will be served.
