A Weather Map for Infectious Diseases

Presenters:

Dr. Janies will illustrate some of the basics of the biology and spread of pathogens over time, space, and various hosts. Engage in a discussion as he shares his aim to lay a framework using genetics and geography for constant monitoring of diseases rather than responding to a series of emergencies. With this framework in place, the public health system can be run with more of a weather-map concept rather than a crisis-to-crisis mentality.
